Rohan Ranganathan is a Mumbai-based independent filmmaker with over ten years of experience in conceptualizing, writing and directing audio visual content. Rohan is currently directing ‘I DREAM OF VILLAINY’, a documentary about an aging actor and his ambition to become an iconic villain in the chaos that is Bollywood. The film is in development and supported by the Catapult Development Fund. He is also currently the Director of Photography for Pallavi Paul’s documentary ‘HOW LOVE MOVES’ (supported by the IDFA) and Ishani Roy’s ‘I DREAM OF SEA’ (selected for Visions Du Reel lab in 2023)- Both films are in development. Rohan was the Associate Director of Shaunak Sen’s 2023 Academy nominated documentary ‘All That Breathes’. A film that earned nominations at the BAFTAs and DGAs while picking up awards at Cannes, Sundance and BFI London.
